(More customer reviews)It turns out you can use the rabbit ears for VHF(channels 2-12) OR the loop for UHF (channels 13+), but cannot have both hooked up at the same time. If you want to switch, you get your screwdriver, remove the balun connector, hook it up to the other antenna type and plug it back in...
Or, as the instructions tell you, purchase a specialty item, NOT INCLUDED, that combines the signals. Seriously?
With what comes in the box, this antenna is made to work with TVs that have separate vhf and uhf inputs... which I beleive went away in the 80s.
