(More customer reviews)When I installed this item, the power supply inverter got real hot and melted. I was told by a tech that this was due to a faulty cable to the antenna. I had to pay return shipping to have a replacement sent. I am approx 50 and 60 miles from the broadcast towers I was trying to hit. I was hoping this would strengthen my signal and eliminate some scrambling from the farthest sights.
Once I hooked up the new booster, I lost about half my channel signals. I am not sure why so be sure to do your homework before you drop $100 on this. I did buy brand new coax to the antenna and this greatly helped my reception WITHOUT the booster. Now I have something I apparently do not need and am out $100, but hey, that is still only 2-3 months cable bill. No worries.
Like I said, I probably bought the wrong item for my application. Be sure you understand what it is you need before you buy.
