(More customer reviews)I found this on sale at a local store for $74, so it was more or less an impulse buy. Before going to the store, I tried to find the resolution, but it's not listed anywhere. There's a reason why they don't publish it (even the manual doesn't state it). The picture looks decent, the color and contrast is good, but the resolution is fairly low. I have a very old 8" Lilliput TV, and the resolution is about the same. While trying to read the small headlines on CNN, the Lilliput seems to be a little easier to read. That means the GPX is not more than 480x234 (330,000 pixels). Text and logos on the GPX suffer from a lot of aliasing (stair step edges).
I'm mainly interested in the picture quality because I have this hooked up to a Satellite receiver. I haven't tried the little antenna that comes with the unit, so I can't comment on the unit's reception. I doubt if I can get anything here, because of the metal roof. I hooked it up to the roof antenna and it pulls in a lot of stations. It only took a few minutes to scan all the channels, much faster than my 50" Sony.
The lithium batteries will last about 3 hours. It also comes with a nice remote, which looks like a regular remote (with rubber keys), only smaller. The sound comes from two tiny speakers in the front, and sound tinny. I've read reviews that complained about the lack of volume, but these are about as loud as my other portable TVs.
For the price I paid, I'm OK with it - it gets the job done.
