I tried a number of antennas in the last couple of years and tested some of them side-by-side with a signal strength meter. I think this is one of the best on the market for a number of reasons:
PRO:
Great UHF reception with high gain.
Easily picks up stations 20+ miles away even through building materials (I have this installed in my attic.)
Strong and durable. This antenna could easily withstand Wisconsin winters when installed outside including snow, hail, rain, ice, etc. It is much more durable that most antennas of this type.
It is directional, but easy to tune.
It is relatively small compared to many other antennas (check manufacturer web site for details.)
Good value.
CON:
None so far.
NOTE:
This antenna is NOT designed for VHF reception. Therefore, it does not pick up VHF channels very well unless the transmitters are relatively close. This is not an issue in my city, but it may be in your city. Recall that the channel displayed on your TV is the virtual channel and not the real channel used for broadcasting. Check your station's web site for details. There are also other sites that have these channel pairings for many major cities.
