We bought this antenna to pick up both analog and digital signals. It made all the channels we were receiving with our old antenna come in almost crystal clear, which is alot better than what we were previously receiving. This is a good antenna for the price, but it does not come with a mast pole for mounting.

RCA ANT1450M Multi-Directional Digital Flat Amplified HDTV Antenna (White) Review

RCA ANT1450M Multi-Directional Digital Flat Amplified HDTV Antenna (White)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this after I tripped over my Terk antenna--parked in the middle of the room for the best reception--and bent it and drew blood on myself. I bought this one because it was small and wouldn't trip me and because it was on sale and therefore worth the risk.
And there is always a risk. Everybody's reception is different, and I have found that the highest-rated antennas--which work fine for other folks--have not worked as well for me.
I hooked it up and scanned the channels on my TV, and was shocked that this tiny lightweight thing picked up all the same channels as my two more expensive and larger amplified antennas. With my other antennas, my DTV reception is affected by movement in the room, but not with this antenna, which hides nicely behind the TV. I had to move the other antennas depending on which channel I was watching, but this one just sits there, hidden, receiving it all.
I just bought another one for my kitchen TV.

Purchased this unit (mounted indoors) because I got tired of adjusting rabbit ears (I refuse to pay $50/month for cable). Unfortunately the reception quality is mediocre, if not subpar for its price. I get cleaner pictures with my old amplified rabbit ear set.

Winegard YA-1713 High Band VHF HDTV Antenna Review

Winegard YA-1713 High Band VHF HDTV Antenna
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this antenna for the purpose of receiving a single TV station: WTNH in New Haven, Connecticut. WTNH broadcasts on physical channel 10. The effective radiated power is only 12.4 kilowatts in my direction, and I am 48 miles from the transmitting tower on a line of sight. At my location, TV Fool rates the noise margin at 28.3 db and the power at -62.5 db.
Most of my channels are received via a Winegard 9095 UHF antenna. The 9095 has the unusual feature of having a VHF input to its balun. I have 12 feet of RG6 quad shield from the YA-1713 to the 9095, then 100 feet of RG6 quad shield from the 9095 to my Panasonic plasma. The YA-1713 is mounted only eight feet above ground level inside of a detached garage. The YA-1713 "looks" at WTNH through an exterior wall consisting of clapboards over two by fours. My detached garage does not have insulation or an inside wall. I'm not using an RF amplifier.
The result is a perfect, glitch free picture. Of course, the trees don't have leaves yet here in Western Massachusetts. I'll post back later if the reception degrades when the leaves come out.
I've given the YA-1713 five stars for its extremely impressive performance. However, I do have concerns with its build quality if you intend to use it as an outdoor antenna. First, the rivet that attaches the reflector to the boom was loose on arrival. This allows the reflector to wobble and there is no way to tighten the rivet. Second, two of the latches that hold the elements open were damaged just from unfolding the elements gently during assembly. Third, the elements are easily bent during careful mounting and have to be bent back into alignment after the antenna is in its permanent location.
I suspect that a YA-1713 that is used outside will have to be repaired or replaced after every heavy ice storm. Fortunately, heavy ice storms are a rare event even in western Mass. Given the excellent performance and low price, the YA-1713 would still be a good choice even if you had to replace it every five years or so.
Update 5/24/2011: The leaves are out and the run of RG6 quad shield cable to my TV has grown to 162 feet. Still no RF amp in use. WTNH remains glitch free at all times, which is more than I can say for my local UHF channels on a Winegard HD9095P. I previously described the YA-1713's performance as "extremely impressive," but I would now describe it as "superb."

Channel Master 2020 DIGITAL ADVANTAGE (HDTV / VHF / UHF) Outdoor Antenna Review

Channel Master 2020 DIGITAL ADVANTAGE (HDTV / VHF / UHF) Outdoor Antenna
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My house is located at 13 miles north from Chicago TX stations in downtown.
Several big trees are blocking the line of sight from the right front of my antenna on chimney.
At first,I tried with an antenna Mod# DB4 due to its small size, but it gave me frequent dropping signals out on most channels I could get and no VHF high channels(CH2,CH7).
Therefore, I chose this antenna(Mod# CM-2020) which has strong directional and gain on UHF and high VHF channels. This antenna works perfectly for me except snowy of CH41(analog signal), even though its very long antenna.

Remote-controlled Multi Directional Outdoor HDTV Antenna UHF/VHF 360 Degree Rotation Review

Remote-controlled Multi Directional Outdoor HDTV Antenna UHF/VHF 360 Degree Rotation
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It claims to have 125 miles of range, I don't think thats quite true but it is good enough to pick up signals from the nearest towers 40-50 miles away, but somedays it will pick up a certain station and other days it won't and it doesn't hold a signal strength any higher than 65, and usually holds a signal strength around 40. In the products defense I do live in a heavily wooded area with many many tall trees stretching above the height of the antenna, which I am aware probably plays a role in the low signal strength but to what extent I don't really know.

Tivax DT-01 Amplified Indoor Digital TV Antenna (Black) Review

Tivax DT-01 Amplified Indoor Digital TV Antenna (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this little antenna to replace my TV's old rabbit ears. I got a Tivax converter box back in February and while I could get quite a number of channels (I live in a rural area), the rabbit ears just weren't picking up a good signal. The rabbit ears had to be turned to pick up the best signal on each individual channel. I purchased this partly from the reviews, partly from having good luck with the Tivax CB and the price. I got it overnight (and didn't pay for overnight shipping, thanks Amazon!) and plugged it in and wow....great reception clear picture, all channels reporting "best" signal without having to move this around. For the reviewers who commented that they broke the antenna off easily, they must have been really really rough with this unit, because while I wouldn't recommend using excessive force, it appears to be put together rather nicely. I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone on a budget. I live in a fairly remote rural area in Virginia and with all the hills and moutains, I still get excellent reception and 13 channels (10 with the old rabbit ears).

RCA ANT1400 Multi-Directional Digital Flat Passive Home Theater Antenna (White) Review

RCA ANT1400 Multi-Directional Digital Flat Passive Home Theater Antenna (White)
Average Reviews:

See more details under my RCA ANT1500 review which outshines this RCA ANT1400.
Long story short: Location--Bayside, Queens, NY, 11 miles east of main NYC digital towers. Only brought in 14 channels (some very weak) compared to the 35 channels (mostly strong) that the ANT1500 brought in. Moving it around and rescanning several times did not help that much. Note: Channels include subchannels.
Guess size does make a difference as the ANT1400 was smaller and cheesier compared to the ANT1500.
Avoid this antenna unless you are really close to the towers you are interested in.

I was kind of expecting cheap Chineses junk at this price, but I was wrong. I received this product and was blown away. Packaging looks great, and everything in the box is branded Vortex HD. I got it installed on a 1" mast pole and everything works great. It picks up all the channels I want without any rotation generally. If I need it to rotate I can use the remote and it works as advertised. It is pretty low profile up on my roof, the black color makes it blend into my shingles. Great product.

Sunvalleytek WA-2805 Remote-Controlled HDTV Outdoor Antenna UHF/VHF 360° Rotation US Version
Average Reviews:

I am replacing a gigantic traditional antenna with this one. In order to get the best coverage in my vacation cabin area, I need to mount this in the top of a tree to "see" over the surrounding hilltops. This antenna seems to work very well with performance better than the one it is replacing. The only reason I am not giving it a higher rating is the plastic construction of the main body and mounting area. I am not at all sure how well this will hold up to the weather and UV.

Remote Controlled HDTV Outdoor Antenna UHF/VHF 360 Degree Rotation Review

Remote Controlled HDTV Outdoor Antenna UHF/VHF 360 Degree Rotation
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
There is no way to tell when the antenna is rotating. I had to mount this inside, hanging from my living room ceiling to be able to tell when it rotates. And it often does not rotate at all and I have to rotate it by hand. It does improve reception, but usually does not rotate even when the light on the remote control shows that it should be rotating. Also does not always rotate in the direction it should. When it should rotate clockwise, it will often rotate counter clockwise, and vice-a-versa. Do not mount this where you cannot see how it rotates, because it just does not consistantly rotate correctly or at all, which happens more than 60% of the time. This product would not be worth more than $20.00.

Granted the directions are bad, but it is so simple to set up that directions aren't needed. I bought it under the assumption that the range is 35 miles. I have it in the attic of our two story house, pointed at a station 60 miles away and it comes in flawlessly. All or local stations are 90 degrees off this station and they come in resonably well for being that far off. I tried it with am amplifier, but the amp is not needed so I removed it. Here are two good sites to help you find what stations you might recieve.

Antenna Pros High Gain Outdoor Hdtv Antenna with Motor Rotor 2010 Model Ax-909G2 Stealth Review

Antenna Pros High Gain Outdoor Hdtv Antenna with Motor Rotor 2010 Model Ax-909G2 Stealth
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am updating this review and downgrading the rating to one star, although it should be a minus 10. The rotor no longer works, and a slight wind of 10 mph rotates the antenna forcing a climb to the roof to readjust the position. This is not a good item at all.
Beware, this is not the latest model of this antenna, I should have purchased from another vendor that is recommended by Amazon. When I viewed the other item it looked to be the same, however, the newer model claims 150 mile reach, this one is 100 miles. Or is it kilometers?
The reception improved a little bit, from 82 to 89 in the signal strength for the stations that I could already get with my rabit ears, there were three channels added to my list of 8 that I can get here, however, these three new channels are coming in within the red band of the signal strength, so all I get is the text portion of the broadcast, read programming information, no picture and no sound. I checked the location of that transmitter and it is 80 miles from me, which, with my "old math" skills, is under the 100 miles advertised for the product.
The construction is flimsy, and the instructions to assemble it are slightly better than nothing, many steps are not pictured at all. The last step reads "Choose a bamboo suitable for installation", that makes me wonder, why would anybody want to mount an external antenna on a bamboo? When you extend the wings you need to lock them with two slide tabs, no mention of this in the instructions, which are mostly pictures with a four to six word description of the step. When the wings are extended to the propper installation position make sure that you are waring safety glasses, the plastic in the casing will break and eject those pieces toward you. It is still usable after that happens, but made me wonder again as to the quality of the product.
There is no way to tell where the antenna is pointed to, except if you take a lot of trips outside to see where it is poining. The remote control has two buttons to activate the motor, and even though there is a left and a right button it does not mean that the antenna is rotating in that direction. It appears that when the antenna reaches the end of the rotation in one direction the motor is reversed, so good luck trying to determine which way you are rotating the antenna.

Outdoor HDTV Yagi Antenna with Motor Rotor, WA-2605 Review

Outdoor HDTV Yagi Antenna with Motor Rotor, WA-2605
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I want to tell all you non believers out there, this is the best HDTV antenna I've ever used. Found out new RV I purchased had a omnidirectional antenna that was suppose to be adequate. No so true. It was only good for a 25 mile radius. Didn't work well at all. Only able to bring in a few channels and did not include ABC channel. After receiving and setting up the WA-2605, can now pull in 45-48 channels including all local channels. Really like being able to remote rotate and view signal strength on TV to really max out the signal coming in. This HDTV antenna has been a real treat and love the 150 mile range. Can actually pull in west coast stations across the state from Tampa to Daytona Beach. The shipment was sooner than expected, and setup was elementary. I recommend this antenna to all that a need a product that truly works as advertised and is priced right.
